Protecting Tropical Rainforests
Green Network buys and preserves tropical rainforest land forever while employing local communities as its guardians.
Our Mission
Green Network is a nonprofit with a simple but powerful model: we raise donations to purchase threatened tropical rainforest land, place it under permanent conservation, and employ local communities to steward it. When the people who live alongside the forest benefit from protecting it, everyone wins: the ecosystem, the communities, and the climate.
How It Works
Contributions of any size go directly toward land acquisition and local employment funds.
We identify high-priority parcels under threat and purchase them to take them off the market. Permanently.
We employ people from nearby communities as rangers and stewards, creating sustainable livelihoods.
Protected land recovers and flourishes, sequestering carbon and preserving biodiversity for generations.
Why It Matters
Every acre lost is irreplaceable. Deforestation accounts for roughly 10% of global carbon emissions, displaces indigenous communities, and destroys ecosystems that took millions of years to evolve. The most effective intervention is simple: own the land, employ the people, let the forest live.
Protect an Acre TodayEvery dollar goes toward buying rainforest land and paying the local communities who protect it.
